IKCC ORDINATION OF BISHOP

Those who are candidates for the Bishop desiring the office of a Bishop must first and foremost be examined by the Credential Board of IKCC and its College of Bishops according to (1Tim. 3:1-7-v.1-This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desire a good work. v.2-A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; v.3-Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; v.4-One that rule well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; v.5-For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? v.6 – Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. v.7- More over he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil). He must be examined to see if he qualifies to be a candidate for bishopry. Upon doing so and is founded to be a potential candidate the Credential Board of IKCC and the College of Bishops will make a recommendation. The presiding Bishop of IKCC will meet primarily with the Board and Candidate to discuss the terms.

Pastors within the fellowship desiring the office of a Bishop must be in the fellowship for at least (4) four years and have been of a good report and faithful to the churches he oversees. He must have labored in IKCC, and must have at least (3) three to (4) four pastors and congregation that has submitted to his leadership for no less than a year. A recommendation from the Presiding Bishop, College of Bishop and Credential Board of IKCC must be put forth for the pastor who is a candidate for the bishopry. It is further needed from the church that he oversees along with the networking churches of IKCC to give a motion that he should be put forth as a candidate for the bishopry. The Presiding Bishop at this point will make a visit to the pastor who is a potential candidate for the bishopry to begin his consecration for the bishopry.

Ordination of Bishop(s) will take place once a year (if there is a candidate) during the Annual Pastors and Leadership Conference of IKCC during which a motion from the church he oversees along with any networking churches under his covering will bring to the floor that motion, which will be read aloud by a representative from the church he oversees or networking church. No less than (3) three Bishops must be present at the ordination service to perform the ceremony. The Presiding Bishop at a later date suitable for the recently ordained Bishop and the congregation he oversee; will come to whatever city, county, state or country he resides in to install him. This is for those in his geographical area to recognize that he has been newly elected as a Bishop.

A Bishop desiring to come into IKCC that has not been credentialed through IKCC will have to show proof of their ordination and proof of their work as a Bishop in ministry. He must go through the Presiding Bishop and Credential Board of IKCC and the College of Bishop to see if his work can be proven. Upon the approval of the Presiding Bishop and Credential Board they will bring a recommendation to the Credential Board, Eldership and Tier of Leadership before such Bishop will become a part of IKCC College of Bishop. Those Bishops can maintain their fellowship while becoming a part of IKCC.
